If You Hate Mondays, Maybe It’s Time To Book That Flight Out Of Here...
Many people feel trapped in "safe" lives that don't truly fulfill them, but that restless nudge inside — your soul — is calling you toward the grand adventure you've always dreamed of. Trust that inner fire and dare to take the leap, because on the other side is a life bursting with purpose, electrified by excitement, and richer than you ever thought possible.
CAREER

Just humour yourself for a moment...
Like, what if you actually did quit your job, booked a one way plane ticket, and actually went on the grand adventure you've been *secretly* desiring? News flash, you're not the first (and you certainly won't be the last!) person who has fantasized about this. This desire exists for a reason: it's your soul telling you that what you're doing... yeah, it ain't cutting it anymore.
Right now, there's a part of you that is caught in a bind. You work because it allows you to live, but if you're not looking forward to work, it is coming at a cost: your own happiness and fulfillment. And the lack of happiness and fulfillment in your life has been eating away at you, day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year. It's been going on for so long now that you've convinced yourself that you'll quit your job and book that flight one day...
"One day. One day the time is right..." you tell yourself.
And yet, the time never ever seems to be right, does it? Because from the limited perspective that you offer, you can't see how it will work out. You're in your head trying to figure out the adventure before it's even happened, trying to figure out how you will make this work. But your soul... ohhhhhh your soul is already deeply embedded in the knowing that this exact adventure is the very step you need to take that will help you identify what's actually important for your life, so that you end this silent suffering, and get to work on something that truly matters to you.
Each of us has the ability to envision what we deem as possible. In our minds, we have subconsciously created a pathway that we should follow. It's been influenced by our parents and society, and it's embedded with safety and security - things we have been taught to prioritize. But most of the time, this life that we've convinced ourselves we should live... This life suppresses our deepest dreams and desires, aka the calling of our soul.
And yes, creating a safe and secure life gives the illusion of a happy and fulfilling existence. But, if you're working in a job that you don't want to be in anymore? You're literally squashing the calling of your soul (your dreams and desires!), in favour of doing what you know. Doing what is safe. Doing what is familiar, comfortable... Doing what's... responsible? Yes, all of this is the workings of your limited mind.
But your soul? Your soul is infinite. It already has access to the most grandiose vision for your life, and it is guiding you towards that every single day. You can't see all the steps because your soul pathway isn't layered with a five year plan and action steps you must take in order to achieve, promising that when you achieve it, then you'll be happy. No, your soul is guiding you to a place where you can be happy now. Where you can be happy along the journey... Not just when the work is done.
The soul's journey starts with trust. You trusting yourself enough and taking the first step, even if that first step seems crazy, grandiose, irresponsible or silly. The first step often does buck the status quo (because most people prioritize safety and security) so anything outside of that will seem outlandish. Whatever that first step is for you, it's not guiding you to live in a way that is safe and secure and promised, it's inviting you to see that safety and security is irrelevant when you trust yourself to walk the pathway you actually came to this earth to experience.
Perhaps that first step is quitting your job, buying a plane ticket, and getting the fuck out of here. It seems like a big step, but it may just be the most important one, and the first of many.
It doesn't matter if this first courageous step is a grandiose adventure where you actually do quit your job, buy a plane ticket and travel the world for three months (or more); a move to another city; a mini getaway; or, just quitting your job and starting that business you've been talking about for years... the fundamental truth remains the same. Your soul is being crushed in your safe and secure job that is good enough because it pays for your bills and gives you the chance to pretend you're happy when you see your friends, but in reality... you'd happily pack a fucking suitcase and leave it all behind!
Alarm bells ringing yet?
Your soul wants you to dream again. And, your soul wants to show you the way. It's already illuminating the first step, and that first step requires courage. It requires you to buck the ideal life that you've created from the limited perspective of your mind and start to follow through on that internal nudge that is calling out for massive change.
Because when you do that... When you start listening to the calling of your soul and following through... When you start to say yes to the things that light you up...
You'll no longer see the sense in working on anything other than your dreams.
And that Monday morning feeling... It will be layered with excitement, oozing with possibility and absolutely dripping in purpose. You'll be so lit up from the inside that people will just want to be around you. More than that, you'll want to be around yourself. Your mind will finally have space and time to rest because it's not worrying about what's coming. Instead, your soul will be speaking to you.
"Relax. You're exactly where you need to be. Enjoy the moment. Follow your joy. It's leading to everything you ever wanted."
Trust, dear friend. Trust that internal knowing. That internal knowing is the one voice that says the same thing over and over and over again, that one voice that doesn't go away.
That's your soul speaking to you.
It already knows what you want.
It's here to help you get it.
And it sure as hell doesn't involve you suppressing your dreams and desires for a safe and secure life, whilst the real you is trapped within.
I love you.
